The Lot to Make All Your Dreams Come True

By Marissa Sainz, July 26, 2021

This one was a long time in the works.  My friend Christy, who I met through the amazing WIFS (Women in Insurance and Financial Services) Portland group, reached out to me in 2019 to start her search for a new home.  At that moment in time our plan was to write offers contingent upon the sale of her super cute Beaverton townhome.  In 2019 getting a contingent offer accepted was actually possible!  And she did get a contingent offer accepted on a home that she eventually decided wasn’t the right one.

Then soooo many things happened including the pandemic.  We put her search on pause and then picked up again in mid 2020.  By that time the market had shifted so much that getting a contingent offer accepted was not simple and as the months went by become impossible.  So, Christy being the amazing financial advisor that she is put her money to work and was able to figure out a way to write offers not continent on the sale of her townhome by the end of 2020. The market was still very competitive and it took few disappointments to find the perfect house for Christy.

Then this lovely home came to market. Christy posted about this house on Facebook that she has walked by for years, watching the owners update. It was above the the price point we were searching in, but she decided to take a look at it just in case. Well that tour was it. The perfect house for her includes a beautifully updated home on a .5 acre lot, walkable to downtown Beaverton.  Oh and don’t forget the hot tub! The large lot allows for Christy to potentially divide and sell, divide and build another home or ADU or even add a large pool. I am so excited to give Christy the keys to her new home!
