Their sides still hurt from laughing

By Yascha Noonberg, December 4, 2018

It’s not everyday that the Buyers and Sellers get together along with their REALTORS® at the Sellers’ condo on the eve of closing for a wine and cheese happy hour.

Our amazing clients Bob and Rod just purchased this magnificent condo in the South waterfront for their retirement home in Portland.

Because the purchase was part of a 1031 tax deferred exchange, they won’t be able to live in it for two years and fortunately, the sellers are in no hurry to move out of such a beautiful property so they are staying put and leasing the condo from our clients for the two year period.

They wanted to have everyone over to get to know one another and toast a fantastic transaction. It was an absolute blast and as the fantastic wine flowed freely, the conversation was a lot of fun.

That night when I texted my Bob and Rod this pic I snapped of them on their new balcony with Mt. Hood shining in the background, they said that their sides were still hurting from laughing.

Congratulations gentlemen!!!

My professional life started with owning and operating a music school and recording studio in SE Portland. Eventually I was drawn to real estate both as an investor and subsequently as a consultant to homebuyers and sellers as well as fellow real estate investors. My family and I have lived on both sides of the river, and we spend a lot of our down time at the coast in Manzanita. My real estate business and family keep me very busy but whenever possible I get out on the courts to compete in tennis leagues and tournaments, and I recently started playing Pickleball. I also mix in the occasional gig or young audiences performance with local jazz group Trashcan Joe.
