Blog Stories Think Color

Think Color

By Living Room Realty, August 10, 2021

If you are a buyer, in a competitive market, like Portland has been for quite a while, it can make sense to look at  houses that have been on the market for a while.  Other buyers may pass them by, so there is less competition— and you could just find a winner.

This is how my buyer Katie ended up with her dream house back in May, one of the busiest buyer months we have ever seen in Portland.  There was nothing wrong with the house, she loved the location, the style and size were great but it just looked dark, not exciting, and it had been on the market for 10 days.  Ten days in May seemed like a long time.

Fortunately, we both could see beyond the dated choppy colors and Katie was excited to create her environment exactly how she wanted.

Color can change the mood of a house overnight. All it takes is some paint, and an awesome painter.
