Three Weeks on the Market?!

By Living Room Realty, July 6, 2018

What’s wrong with that house? I hear it all the time. In a seller’s market, where often times homes go pending in less than a week, the homes that are on the market for longer are blacklisted. Sometimes, these homes are a huge opportunity, especially if you don’t have the stomach for multiple offer situations. So, let’s go back to the initial question…what’s wrong with the house? More often than not, nothing. Maybe it was overpriced from the get go. Maybe the photos weren’t great or the house wasn’t staged correctly. Maybe it went pending and came back on the market because the buyers got cold feet.

My clients just closed on a house in this situation. It still boggles my mind that the house didn’t sell right away. But guess what, it ended up being a win-win situation for all parties involved. My clients purchased the home that fits all their needs and then some and the sellers were lovely to work with and we all came to agreement on terms to get the transaction done. No drama involved and everyone walks away with good vibes, just as it should be.
