Like many, I have a love/hate relationship with social media. However, whether or not to have a media presence just isn’t an question in my line of work, so this past month has been especially disheartening due to my Facebook account getting hacked and my personal page being deleted :^(
So now that I’ve given up hope in trying to restore years of activity (and resigned myself to starting fresh), what have I learned or have to say?
Here’s the Top 10:
1). I’ve really missed all of you! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Well, mostly all I suppose.
2). I have not missed all of the self-appointed talking heads & expert opinionators though.
3). Facebook does not give AF about security!
4). I just might be happier posting my best images to Instagram from here on out.
5). I still need help restoring my original page, so if you know anybody at Facebook…
6). Why would Mark Zuckerberg ever spend a penny on tech support when we users aren’t his actual customers? The answer is he wouldn’t.
7). Less social media means more time for productivity.
8). I did not “unfriend” anyone, so let’s reconnect!
9). I have discovered my tolerance level for isolation is exactly 396 + 27 days (so thank god it’s summer!)
10). I still don’t know what the #@$%&*! these hackers wanted?
But seriously though, if anyone knows someone at Facebook who could help, call me!
Picking up the pieces,
