When you know…you know

By Living Room Realty, September 17, 2018

When my friends M & P said they were starting to think about buying their first home I was excited to guide them through the process. After twelve years in their current neighborhood they couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. We talked at length about their needs and wants. Ultimately what mattered most was finding a home that could accommodate their families’ ever-changing needs. They needed space for their children to play, room to entertain visiting family and friends and a kitchen ready for the holidays.

They assured me they wanted to focus on their current neighborhood and would wait for the right thing to come along…no matter how long that would take. The very next weekend they were in an entirely different part of town and happened on an open house. They figured it was worth checking out so they could compare it to the other houses they had seen.

The moment they walked through the door it felt like home. The large, sun-drenched windows, open breezeway and gourmet kitchen exceeded all of their expectations. With just a glance at each other they both knew that they had found the one. Sometimes, when you know…you know.
