Sure, everybody talks about achieving a Win/Win in real estate, but in this case, our buyers, Ian and Emily, got a Win/Lose. But, save your “wah wah” for another post. In this case, Ian and Emily were able to WIN this darling Rose City Park English Tudor house and were able to LOSE their long daily work commute times by selling their Vancouver home. The process wasn’t for the faint of heart, however, as it involved selling and buying at the same time through the contingent sale process.
Ian and Emily kept their eyes on the prize, however. We helped them employ effective negotiation strategies when the contingent process threw them curve balls. Good communication and, ultimately, a willingness to be flexible, got them past the finish line. They moved in last month and are really enjoying all they have won (cute home, lovely yard, vibrant and walkable neighborhood) and all they have lost (daily extended cross-river commutes). Congratulations Ian and Emily!
If you are looking to WIN (or even LOSE) in real estate, give Kari and Erika a call!
