Katlyn and Josh started looking for their new home in late 2020. Even though the market wasn’t as insane then it was still tough to find something great within their budget. These folks have STYLE and wanted their home to reflect that. They were looking for a fun home with neighbors their age. They wanted to be in a walkable community too. Of course this is all really hard to find in Portland proper, so they set their sights on building a home in Reed’s Crossing.
Reed’s Crossing is a new development in South Hillsboro, focusing on mixed-used spaces and sustainability. Katlyn and Josh chose a beautiful attached home that they could fully customize. They chose smart upgrades that added to their home’s value (remember folks, on-trend kitchen and bath upgrades are a good investment), like floor to ceiling shower tile in a herringbone pattern and upgraded flooring. They also focused on buying a premium lot with more space between their new home and their neighbor’s. Their new home is walkable to parks and shopping, and their new next door neighbors are another young couple around their age.
Katlyn and Josh made a great decision to lock in the pricing on their new home when they did. Their excellent timing smart upgrades mean they are walking into equity as soon as they get the keys!
Congrats, Katlyn and Josh!
